Britney Spears promotes child porn- Lecture 30

I thoroughly agree with the no tolerance rule for child pornography.  In my opinion I find it deplorable and disgusting.  I feel it is ridiculous when it is stated that viewing child porn would decrease the likelihood of people engaging in it.  In many cases, constantly viewing a certain act would make someone curious to try it.  Some child porn advocates seem to think that the abusers are doing the damage and not the pictures.   This couldn’t be more wrong.  The pictures that are posted on the internet not only promote child porn as a whole but it is also a constant reminder to the victim of the incident.  In this situation we must always think about the victim because they are the ones who have to suffer with this act for the rest of their lives.  Such a trauma must be treated delicately and with compassion. 

One of the many contradiction of our society is how underage themes are depicted as sexual.  Such cases like this are entertainers like Britney Spears.  In her first music video where she was under the age of 18 she was dressed in a catholic school girl outfit doing sexual provocative poses.  To me I view this as a form of child porn.  She had many adult men fawning over the image of a young innocent yet naughty girl.  I think that images like this shouldn’t be allowed because it promotes the child porn mentality.  In my opinion images of children being depicted sexually should be banished.
